These Terms of Use govern your use of Waziri: African Wisdom, developed by Dexino Cloud & AI Solutions.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By downloading, installing or using Waziri, you agree to these Terms of Use.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the application.

2. Purpose of Waziri

Waziri is an African wisdom application designed to present curated proverbs, folklore lessons, practical counsel, cultural context, offline narration and related reflective material.

Waziri may also provide tools such as Ask Waziri, Daily Wisdom, Proverbs, Life Advice, Cultures & Regions, listening features and favourites.

3. Traditional material and Waziri Counsel

Waziri aims to distinguish traditional or source-grounded material from original practical guidance created for the application.

Original Waziri Counsel must not be interpreted as an inherited traditional proverb merely because it appears alongside historical or traditional source material.

Dexino may revise wording, classifications, explanations or cultural attribution where improved source information becomes available.

4. Cultural attribution

Waziri aims to attribute cultural, regional or historical material only where the available source material reasonably supports that attribution.

Not every proverb or folklore record can be assigned confidently to a specific modern country, ethnic group or region.

Where evidence is insufficient, Waziri may use broader attribution or leave a record without specific cultural classification.

5. Ask Waziri

Ask Waziri is intended to help users find relevant wisdom from Waziri's curated collection.

Where online enhanced understanding is available, the user's question may be processed by supported third-party AI or cloud services in order to interpret the question and identify relevant wisdom.

Ask Waziri is not an unrestricted chatbot and does not guarantee that every question can be answered.

Users should not submit highly sensitive information such as passwords, payment-card information, government identification numbers or private medical records.

6. No professional advice

Waziri provides cultural, educational, reflective and general practical material.

It is not intended to provide medical, legal, financial, psychological, emergency or other regulated professional advice.

Users should seek appropriately qualified professional assistance where their situation requires it.

7. Offline library and Sekou narration

Much of Waziri's core wisdom library and approved Sekou narration is designed to work offline.

Dexino may add, revise, replace or remove library content, narration, categories or other features in future versions where reasonably necessary for editorial, technical, legal or product-development reasons.

8. Third-party services

Certain Waziri features may rely on or interact with third-party services, including Google Play, Google Mobile Ads, Google Firebase, Google Gemini, Android system services or other external providers.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms, availability and privacy practices.

Dexino is not responsible for interruptions, restrictions, changes or content provided independently by those third-party services.

9. Advertising

The free version of Waziri may display advertisements provided by Google or other advertising services used by Dexino.

Advertising availability, format and personalisation may vary according to location, device configuration, user consent, applicable law and the advertising provider's settings.

Dexino does not guarantee that advertisements will always be available or that advertising services or formats will remain unchanged.

10. Waziri Premium and removal of advertisements

Waziri may offer an optional one-time in-app purchase called Waziri Premium.

The current intended purpose of Waziri Premium is to remove advertisements from the application.

Unless expressly stated otherwise at the time of purchase, Waziri Premium does not guarantee exclusive proverbs, exclusive folklore, exclusive cultures, future AI functionality or other additional content.

Future features may be added to Waziri independently of the Premium ad-removal purchase.

The price shown to the user in Google Play at the time of purchase is the applicable purchase price. Prices may vary by country, currency, taxes and Google Play pricing rules.

11. Google Play purchases

Purchases are processed through Google Play and are associated with the user's Google Play account according to Google's purchasing systems and policies.

Dexino does not directly process or store users' complete payment-card information.

Recognition or restoration of a previous purchase may depend on the Google account used for the original transaction and the availability of Google Play services.

Refunds and purchase disputes are handled in accordance with Google Play policies, applicable consumer law and, where appropriate, Dexino's responsibilities as the developer.

12. Favourites and locally stored information

Waziri may store favourites, preferences and other application state locally on the user's device.

Users are responsible for maintaining access to their device. Locally stored information may be lost if application data is cleared, the application is uninstalled or the device is lost, reset, damaged or replaced.

13. Application availability and changes

Dexino may update, modify, add, remove or discontinue Waziri features where reasonably necessary for technical, editorial, legal, security, commercial or product-development reasons.

Dexino does not guarantee that every feature will remain permanently available or function identically on every Android device, operating system version or third-party platform.

14. Intellectual property

Waziri's software, application interface, branding, original graphics, original Waziri Counsel, application design and related Dexino materials are owned by or licensed to Dexino Cloud & AI Solutions and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Historical, traditional or public-domain material included in Waziri does not become Dexino property merely because it is presented within the application.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of Waziri or Dexino intellectual property to users.

15. Acceptable use

Users must not use Waziri:

• for unlawful, fraudulent or intentionally abusive purposes;
• to attempt to compromise the security or integrity of Waziri or its online services;
• to interfere with advertising, purchase verification or application security mechanisms in an unlawful manner;
• to impersonate Dexino or falsely represent Waziri content as an official professional recommendation;
• to misuse online services in a way intended to cause excessive, fraudulent or unauthorised requests.

16. Accuracy and limitations

Dexino aims to present Waziri's source material and cultural attribution responsibly, but historical and folkloric sources may contain ambiguity, differing translations, variant versions or incomplete attribution.

Automated matching, AI-assisted interpretation, text processing or other software functionality may occasionally produce incorrect, incomplete or unexpected results.

Users should exercise their own judgement when applying general wisdom or practical counsel to real-world circumstances.

17. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Waziri is provided on an "as available" basis.

Dexino does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, availability of every external service, compatibility with every device or that every result will be error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

18. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Dexino is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from the use or inability to use Waziri, third-party services or general guidance provided through the application.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation would be prohibited by applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections.

19. Privacy

Information about Waziri's handling of information, advertising, Ask Waziri, third-party services and purchases is available in the Waziri Privacy Policy.

20. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when Waziri's functionality, business model, advertising, purchases, third-party services or legal requirements change.

The current version will be published on this page and identified by the "Last updated" date below.

21. Governing law

To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland.

Mandatory consumer-protection rights applicable in a user's country or place of residence remain unaffected.

Where legally permitted, disputes relating to Waziri or these Terms are subject to the competent courts at the registered place of business of Dexino Cloud & AI Solutions, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
