This Privacy Policy explains how Waziri: African Wisdom, developed by Dexino Cloud & AI Solutions, handles information when you use the application.

1. Waziri's wisdom library

Waziri includes a curated library of African proverbs, folklore lessons, practical counsel and related cultural information.

The core published wisdom library is bundled with the application and does not require users to upload personal documents, photographs, contacts or private files in order to access the library.

Waziri is designed to distinguish traditional source-grounded material from newly created Waziri Counsel or practical guidance.

2. Local application data

Waziri may store information locally on the user's device, including favourites, application preferences, playback state and other settings needed to provide the application's functionality.

This information is primarily used to allow the user to maintain their personal Waziri experience on the device.

Removing the application or clearing its application data may delete locally stored favourites and preferences.

3. Sekou narration and audio

Waziri includes approved offline narration spoken by Sekou. The bundled narration files can be played without an internet connection.

The application may use Android media services to support playback, pause, repeat, background audio or related audio functionality.

Waziri does not require microphone access in order to play its bundled Sekou narration.

4. Ask Waziri

Waziri includes an optional feature called Ask Waziri. This feature allows users to describe a situation or ask for relevant wisdom from Waziri's verified collection.

Where online enhanced understanding is available, the text entered by the user may be transmitted to Google Firebase and/or Google Gemini services for the limited purpose of interpreting the question and matching it to relevant Waziri wisdom.

Users should therefore avoid entering passwords, payment-card information, government identification numbers, medical records or other highly sensitive personal information into Ask Waziri.

The resulting counsel presented by Waziri is intended as general cultural, reflective and practical guidance. It is not intended to replace professional legal, medical, financial, psychological or other specialist advice.

If the online service is unavailable, Waziri may use an offline fallback based on its bundled wisdom library.

5. Firebase and application security

Waziri may use Google Firebase services for online functionality, application integrity, security or access to supported AI services.

Firebase App Check or related security mechanisms may process technical information about the application, device or application integrity in order to help protect Waziri's online services from abuse.

Google may process this information according to its own privacy terms and service documentation.

6. Advertising

The free version of Waziri may display advertisements using Google Mobile Ads / Google AdMob.

Advertising services may process information such as IP address, general device information, application interactions, diagnostic information and advertising or device identifiers for purposes that may include advertising, measurement, security, fraud prevention and service operation.

The precise information processed may depend on the user's device, Android version, advertising settings, consent choices, location, applicable legal requirements and Google's advertising configuration.

7. Consent and privacy choices

Where required by applicable privacy law, Waziri may use Google's consent-management technology to present privacy choices before personalised advertising or related advertising processing takes place.

This may include consent or privacy messages for users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland and applicable US states.

The options presented to a user may vary depending on applicable law, the user's region and Google's current consent requirements.

8. Waziri Premium and purchases

Waziri may offer an optional one-time purchase called Waziri Premium.

At present, the intended Premium benefit is permanent removal of advertisements from Waziri.

The purchase does not automatically promise exclusive proverbs, exclusive cultural material or other future features unless those benefits are expressly stated in the application or Google Play listing at the time they are offered.

Purchases are processed through Google Play Billing.

Dexino does not directly receive or store users' complete payment-card details. Payment processing and purchase-account information are handled by Google Play according to Google's systems, policies and the user's Google account settings.

9. Accounts

Waziri does not currently require users to create a Dexino account in order to use its core wisdom, culture, narration, favourites or offline functionality.

Google Play purchases are associated with the user's Google Play account rather than a separate Waziri account.

10. Third-party services

Waziri may use or interact with third-party services including Google Play, Google Mobile Ads, Google Firebase, Google Gemini, Android system services and other services necessary to distribute, secure, advertise, operate or enhance the application.

These third-party services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

Waziri's use of a third-party service does not give Dexino control over that service's independent privacy practices.

11. Data sharing and sale

Dexino does not sell users' personal information.

Dexino does not sell users' locally stored favourites, listening history or personal Ask Waziri questions.

Information may nevertheless be processed by third-party advertising, AI, platform, security or billing services when those services are used as described in this Policy.

12. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored Waziri data can generally be removed by clearing the application's data or uninstalling the application from the device.

Information processed by Google or other external services may be subject to those providers' independent retention and deletion policies.

Because Waziri does not currently require a Dexino user account for its core functionality, there is no general Waziri cloud profile that users must maintain in order to access the application.

13. Cultural and source information

Waziri aims to provide cultural attribution only where the available source material supports that attribution.

Some records may be identified with a culture, region, historical collection or source tradition, while others may intentionally remain more broadly attributed where a more specific claim cannot be supported.

14. Data security

Dexino uses reasonable technical measures intended to reduce unnecessary collection, transmission and exposure of user information.

No software system, electronic storage method or network transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users remain responsible for protecting access to their device and Google account.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Waziri's functionality, advertising model, third-party services, legal requirements or data practices change.

The date shown below will be updated when material changes are made. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically.
