This Privacy Policy explains how DexiCam, developed by Dexino Cloud & AI Solutions, handles information when you use the application.

1. Camera access

DexiCam requires access to the device camera in order to provide dashcam recording functionality.

Camera access is used for features such as live camera preview, 1080p video recording, autofocus and related recording functions requested by the user.

DexiCam does not use camera access for advertising or for creating advertising profiles.

2. Video recordings

Videos recorded with DexiCam are created and stored locally on the user's device using Android storage and media functionality.

Under the current local-first design, recorded dashcam videos are not intentionally uploaded to Dexino servers as part of normal recording functionality.

Dexino does not currently provide cloud storage or cloud backup for DexiCam recordings.

Dexino does not claim ownership of videos recorded by users with DexiCam.

3. File and media access

DexiCam may use Android storage or media functionality in order to create, save and make recorded videos available on the user's device.

Access is used for DexiCam recording and file-management functionality and is not intended for searching unrelated personal documents or media.

Users remain responsible for managing, exporting, backing up and deleting recordings stored on their devices.

4. Background recording

DexiCam may use Android foreground-service functionality so that an active dashcam recording can continue when DexiCam is not displayed in the foreground.

Android may display a persistent system notification while background recording is active.

Background recording behaviour may depend on the Android version, device manufacturer, battery settings, available storage and other operating-system restrictions.

5. Blackout mode

DexiCam includes a blackout mode that allows the application display to become dark while an active recording continues.

Blackout mode is intended to reduce unnecessary screen illumination and distraction while DexiCam is operating.

Blackout mode does not disable an active recording.

6. Application settings and local information

DexiCam may store application information locally on the user's device, including application settings, recording preferences, recording state and other information required for the application to operate.

This locally stored information may be removed if the application is uninstalled, application data is cleared or the device is reset.

7. Accounts and personal information

DexiCam does not require users to create a separate Dexino account for its core dashcam functionality.

Dexino does not use DexiCam to directly collect users' contact lists, personal messages or complete copies of their locally recorded videos as part of normal dashcam operation.

A Google Play account may nevertheless be used by Google Play for subscriptions, purchases and purchase restoration.

8. Google Play subscriptions and purchases

DexiCam uses Google Play Billing for paid application access.

DexiCam may offer an automatically renewing annual subscription, including a three-day free trial for eligible users.

DexiCam may also offer a one-time lifetime purchase providing continued access to the application according to the purchase terms shown in Google Play.

For users in Switzerland, the current annual subscription is offered at CHF 2.99 per year after an eligible trial period, and the current introductory lifetime purchase is offered at CHF 4.99.

Prices, taxes and currencies may vary by country or region and the price displayed by Google Play at the time of purchase applies.

Dexino does not directly receive or store users' complete payment-card details. Payment processing and purchase-account information are handled by Google Play according to Google's policies and the user's Google account settings.

9. Purchase entitlement

DexiCam may query Google Play Billing to determine whether a user has an active subscription, a valid trial entitlement or a recognised lifetime purchase.

This information is used to determine whether paid DexiCam features should be available on the device.

Recognition or restoration of a purchase may depend on the Google account used for the original transaction and the availability of Google Play services.

10. Advertising and tracking

The current version of DexiCam does not use an advertising-supported business model.

Dexino does not intentionally use dashcam recordings to build advertising profiles or sell advertising based on recorded content.

11. Third-party services

DexiCam may use or interact with third-party services for application distribution, billing, security, Android operating-system functions, updates or features explicitly requested by the user.

These third-party services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

DexiCam's use of a third-party service does not give Dexino control over that service's independent privacy practices.

12. Data sharing

Dexino does not sell users' dashcam recordings.

Locally recorded DexiCam videos are not intentionally shared by Dexino with advertisers or other third parties as part of normal recording functionality.

Certain technical or purchase-related information may nevertheless be processed by Google Play, Android or other platform services where those services are required as described in this Policy.

13. Data security and retention

Users remain responsible for protecting access to their device, Google account and recordings stored on the device.

Locally stored dashcam recordings remain on the user's device until they are deleted, moved, removed by the operating system or otherwise managed by the user.

Dexino uses reasonable technical measures intended to minimise unnecessary collection or transfer of recorded video.

No electronic storage, software system or device can be guaranteed to be completely secure or free from data loss.

14. Recording privacy and lawful use

Dashcam footage may contain images of roads, people, vehicles, number plates, buildings, private property or other information relating to third parties.

Users remain responsible for ensuring that their recording, storage, use, sharing and publication of footage complies with applicable privacy, data-protection, surveillance, recording and road-traffic laws.

The availability of recording functionality in DexiCam does not constitute legal permission from Dexino to record any person, place, vehicle or activity.

15. Children

DexiCam is a general-purpose driving and dashcam utility and is not specifically designed or directed toward children.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when DexiCam's functionality, third-party services, legal requirements or data practices change.

The date shown below will be updated when material changes are made. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically.
